Ann Arbor, Michigan, the home of USA Hockey’s National Team DevelopmentProgram since its inception in 1996, is a culturally diverse university town of approximately 114,000 residents. Ann Arbor is consistently ranked among the top 10 best cities in the country. The city is well known locally as a destination for dining out and entertainment, as it contains a wide and eclectic variety of restaurants and performance venues. Ann Arbor is also the home to the University of Michigan, which ranks consistently among the top three public institutions in the country according to U.S.News & World Reports. Each of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program players attend AnnArbor Pioneer High School . The school,which has an enrollment of approximately 2,800 students, is located just two miles from the Ann Arbor Ice Cube. Pioneer students have consistently received above average scores on the ACT Test (24.1 mean score).
